In 2018, the total damage caused by computer viruses to Vietnamese users reached a record of VND 14,900 billion, equivalent to US $ 642 million, 21% more than the damage in 2017 (BKAV). On the world level, in 2018, there were about two million Internet incidents worldwide, causing more than $ 45 billion in damage (Internet Society's Online Trust Alliance - OTA). According to a report of Ministry of Public Security leaders at the Security World Conference in Hanoi, at the end of May 2019, cyberattacks aimed at key information infrastructures of organizations, economic and financial groups continued to develop complicatedly, with increasingly complex and dangerous nature and levels. In the first 6 months of 2019 alone, over 2,500 news sites and websites of the Vietnamese national domain name have been attacked; hundreds of thousands of computers infected with malware. According to the latest statistics of the Vietnam Computer Emergency Response Team (VNCERT), in the first 7 months of 2019, the Center has recorded 6,219 incidents of network attacks on Vietnam's websites, including: 2,155 phishing attacks; 3,824 cases of interface-changing attacks (Deface) and 240 incidents of infected websites (Malware); Compared to the same period last year, this year the total number of attacks increased by 104%, specifically each type of attack increased as follows: Phishing increased 141%, Deface increased 109%, Malware alone decreased 26.57%. Besides, there are nearly 100,000 Vietnamese websites that query or connect to the network of ghost computers (Botnet) every day, ranking the fourth among 10 countries with the highest number of computers connected to the Botnet.

In fact, the rapid development of IT, telecommunications and Internet in Vietnam has created opportunities and incentives for businesses operating in the fields of finance, banking, e- commerce and online services. But it also creates risks, vulnerabilities, facilitates cyber criminals, hackers to fully exploit to steal data, hijack the system and cause damage to enterprises. Especially, in the period of 2019 - 2013, Vietnam is entering a process of strong digital transformation, especially commercial and service enterprises, which are always at the forefront of modernization in order to increase labor productivity, attracting and improving customer experience to create breakthrough development for the unit.

In that context, the Workshop - Exhibition of cybersecurity and information security (Cyber ​​Security 2019) will put into discussion the topic: “STRENGTHENING SAFETY INFORMATION SECURITY FOR FINANCE, BANKING, ONLINE SERVICES AND E-COMMERCE FINANCIAL ENTERPRISES”. The seminar will bring a comprehensive perspective on the status of work to ensure information safety, security, risks and challenges that businesses in the trade and service sector are digitizing and applying. The advanced technologies of the 4.0 revolution in Vietnam are now forced to be faced.
